More Real Life Drama

(Sigh)

On top of the busted knee (consult with a surgeon on October 16, finally!), new drama has popped up. The keyboard on the laptop has developed a whole column of keys that have simply stopped working. And of course, they are some of the letters I use most often–including for the password that opens the whole laptop! The 9. O, L, and . keys, to be exact.

As I write this, belatedly, the laptop has been repaired, but it was a hairy and boring almost-week without it. Fortunately, the “Apple Care” warranty program is still active, so I didn’t have to pay an arm and a leg for it. I was able to use the iPad for posting on social media, but an iPad does not connect to an external hard drive to access my novels and short stories so I could work on those.

Hopefully by the next post, I will at least have met with the surgeon and formulated a plan for the knee. I’ll see if I can come up with an enticing subject for you, too.
