NaNoWriMo 2022

Once again, I’m doing National Novel Writing Month – 50,000 Words in 30 Days!

I’m entering this year as a NaNo-Rebel, writing anything BUT a novel. I have several anthologies I’m trying to place in, so I’m working on those and my Amish Romance Plots. We’re also doing a Mail Order Bride plot if I can figure out a suitable background for the bride. One of the anthologies was a sci-fi one called “Hacking.” Of course, that’s EJ’s bailiwick, so it’s a Tel/Tano story. The one I’m working on now is called “Diner Crimes,” and we’re using Badi the Atlanta private eye for that. Then, there are a whole slew due at the end of the year, so I’ll be busy in December as well.

I count every word I write during November, so you’d better believe I’m counting this blog post! And another trick is never to delete. If you make a mistake or type something you later want to change, just bold it or do a strikethrough without deleting that word count. You can edit after NaNoWriMo is over with.

Have you ever tried NaNoWriMo? What are some of your tips & tricks?
