Writer’s Christmas Party

We had our annual SC Writer’s Association (Greenville Chapter) Christmas party last Saturday. Much fun was had by all who could show up (unfortunately, some were busy and others are still too afraid of the virus to get out and about). We had a ton of great food and party games and some wonderful conversations.

We had sandwiches and wings and a charcuterie board with cheese ball & salami and deviled eggs (2 kinds) and shrimp paste flatbread and spinach & feta pastries. For dessert, there were three kinds of cake, meringue cookies, and cream puffs.

Adrienne made this cake herself – it’s almond and cranberry and it was delicious!

Marcia, Diana, Alexa, and Jim’s wife Vicky enjoy the food…

Jim and Barbara discussed adverbs and publishing …

Adrienne being silly, Roiselyn looking pensive, and Vicki enjoying the Prosecco Alexa brought!

We played party games using our stocking stuffer notebooks and pens…

Everyone had to write a sentence with a random word …

The tie between Diana and Alexa was broken when Alexa used “COVID” in an erotic sentence …

We had the party at Marcia’s new place, which is lovely and roomy, although not as large as her old place in the country. What are your holiday party plans?
