What I’m Reading Susan Boyer

I’ve recently “discovered” a cute cozy mystery series by a local author.

I haven’t actually met Susan, but I like a good Southern mystery, even though I usually prefer harder stories instead of cozies. This series is cute, though, with a heroine who is a private investigator here in Greenville, but who moves back to the (fictional) Lowcountry island of Stella Maris (the real Stella Maris is in the Bahamas btw) when her grandmother dies and leaves her the family property. Then, Liz spots her best friend from childhood–the one who died as a teenager. Things only get weirder from there.

I’m currently on the second book, Lowcountry Bombshell, where her latest client is a Marilyn Monroe look-alike convinced that someone will murder her on the anniversary of Marilyn’s death. If you like cozy mysteries, the Lowcountry, sea islands, and psychic shenanigans, you’ll enjoy this series.
