As the holiday season rolls around again, it’s time to take down the Christmas decorations and reminisce. Each ornament has its own family history and memories, so it takes time to decorate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A blown-glass acorn (and a jointed metallic lizard behind it)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
I have ornaments left from childhood and from my early adulthood. The first few ornaments I bought on my own were a small set of blown-glass houses that always make me smile. They look pinkish in this photo because of the Christmas lights, but they’re really a lovely pale green.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
