I grew up watching John Wayne (black/white and color) because my dad was fan, and anything he liked I always liked, too. Gotta say though, that Big Jake and McLintock are in my top five westerns. Of course, that’s likely due to Maureen O’Hara. That was one helluva woman!
Later, Sam Elliott and Tom Selleck got my attention. They embodied the American Cowboy at his best, and made you feel like you were right there fighting alongside them.
I also appreciate your time and effort on writing all these great articles.
